Yoshi's Story Review

Introduction
Yoshi's Story. At first glance, it looks like just an other ordinary, 2-D, action game. It isn't. Six little dinosaurs that are marooned on an island all by themselves, an island that has been turned into a story book by baby Bowser. Well, the plot is original.

These little babies may look pretty meek and helpless at first, but if you take a look, they can do anything from the Limbo, to eating melons the size of their heads. They go through the game ground pounding, gulping, and riding clouds. To some people it looks like a dull game, but to many others, it is a practical masterpiece of gamery.

Graphics: 7 (out of 10)
Sure, it may be 2-D, but the graphics are pretty neat, and sometimes are very detailed. You can see little drops of sweat, the glisten on a tiny Yoshi's big nose, and the tiles on a little Bowsers back. Some people took one look at the game and dumped it because of it's 2-Dness, But I'm telling you, don't. Even if you may not like the game, don't just ditch it due to the lack of graphics. This is one good game. Music and Sound 8 out of 10 The music in the game is to be pretty funny. The Yoshi will even begin to hum out a tune if you stand still for too long. The music can range from a happy tune in a grassy field, to a rap song in a gloomy pipe.

The music over all is pretty good in both quality, and variety. The sound isn't in very large selection, but the sound that there are fit the game quite nicely. The sound that is probably the most irritating is when the Yoshi does the flutter jump(a jump where it can float for a short time). The Yoshi makes a very strange and shard grunting sound, that when taken to an extent, really get on the nerves. But overall, the sound is pretty good.

Game Challenge: 6 (out of 10)
I will have to say, that this isn't the most challenging game that I have ever played. I was able to beat it on the first day that I had it. The hardest part of the game is just getting the hearts to be able to play more levels. It is a challenging game to a beginning gamer, But to an expert(like me) it is a breeze. Game Play-Fun 9 out of 10 I found this game to be a very fun game to play, not only the first time, but with wonderful replay value.

The game is fun due to the funny music and graphics, and the fact that even if you beat it, you still aren't done playing it. To really finish the game you have beat everything. an other factor that makes this game fun is trying to find the objectives, and trying to find the actual end of the level, because it is possible to beat the level without getting to the end.

Rumble Pak: 3 (out of 10)
I would have to say that the game play with the rumble pack isn't nearly as effective in making the game better as it is in many other games. The pack will only rumble when you are hit, or pound, and I usually don't notice it. The Rumble Pack just doesn't fit well with the way the game is played.

Frustration This game doesn't have to many frustrations in it, due to the pretty simple design, but if I had to pick one, it would be having to find all of the hearts in the level, so I may move to the next one. This is difficult because the hearts are usually hidden places that are difficult to reach, under and around everything possible.

Replayability: 10 (out of 10)
The replay value of the game, as I mentioned earlier is very high. I think that the game is so replayable, because of the fact that there are objectives to meet in each level, that you probably won't meet the first time you play. I have now gone back to play this game again at least 7 times. I think that this is one of those rare games that never gets old.

Game Value: 8 (out of 10)
This game is more or less worth what I payed for it, but when I bought it, it was a good $80. The game is really a good buy at the current price, but I would advise 64 owners to rent the game before buying it, just to check it out. I believe that most people would find this game fun, but not all would.

Light Blue Yoshi

Overall: 9 (out of 10)
This is a really good game, that I found very entertaining every time that I played it. This is a really good game that is very fun, I think that most gamers will find this game very fun.
