Mario and friends are in the Oriental City of Saionara where they hope to find a martial arts master called Misaki. King Koopa finds them and kidnaps Princess and Toad. Misaki rescues the Mario and Luigi and teaches them Plumb-fu so they can fight Karate Koopa.

TV star Tawny Tyler comes over to help the Mario's record a commercial but Mario gets camera fright.
