As the credits are rolling, get a bee mushroom and wait til Shiverburn is shown, as the page is turning fly toward the screen in front of you before you come into the view, you will fall to your death the screen will go black but the sounds/music will continue it will then say "The End" and "Too Bad".

Death figures

Once you have beaten The Perfect Run - The Comet for the Grandmaster Galaxy it will unlock a death counter on your save profile, this will be shown in the upper right corner just above the star count. Relive the agony of many defeats!

Demise of the Boomerang Bros!

While looking at the Boomerang Bros. crouch down by pressing Z on the control and you will avoid the boomerangs, move closer to them whilst ducking the boomerangs and when you get to them (while crouching) spin round to eliminate them!

Flutter Jump forever!

Once you master this technique to get unlimited flutter jumps with Yoshi you will be able to access areas which would otherwise not be reachable. To flutter, Jump and hold A - while fluttering hit the Z key while still holding A then release the A key quickly, press the A quickly again and if you got it right you'll do another flutter jump while still in mid air from the last one. Do not dismount Mario while doing this exercise.

Give the Banker Toad a change of clothes by depositing the following quantities of star bits

Hammer Bros. Kick them while they're down!

Get close to a Hammer Bro then do a long jump and spin, you'll then kick the Hammer Bro down and kick him again while his on the ground to finish him off.

Infinite Lives (Supermassive Galaxy)

Want an easy way of getting 99 lives? in world 4 go to the Supermassive galaxy and enter the first Star challenge. Play through the level as normal until you reach the planet with three supermassive Koopa turtles guarding it. There is a Spin Drill there - don't touch it, do a long jump behind one of the Koopas (to do this you press Z while running and then press jump) so that you land on its back. You should do this from about a turtle shells length behind it to land in optimal position. Hold the analog stick to the right and hold jump - you'll bounce off the Koopa you're on repeatedly. Make sure to only jump on the shell, not his head, after bouncing for a short period you should start seeing that you get a 1-Up for every bounce on the shell after that.

Infinite Lives (Starship Mario)

Collect the 1-UPs that you find on the ship with Mario, switch to Luigi and the 1-UPs will have respawned, switch back to Mario, and they're back again.... repeat til you're maxed out or bored - not as quick as the supermassive galaxy way but still good.

Luigi on the titlescreen

If you quit the game while playing as Luigi it will be his face on the title screen instead of Mario's. The only time this wont work is if Mario is not your default profile face.

Rosalina on the titlescreen

Once the game has been beaten with all 242 stars, Rosalina will appear as the game icon on the title menu.

Super Ground Pound

To perform this powerful move; jump, shake the wii remote then quickly press Z, your enemies will then incur death by Mario ass, a fate I would myself wish on no one!

Unlockable: Alternate Ending

Once you have collected 120 stars and completed the game there is an alternate ending sequence showing a cutscene of Rosalina reading to Lumas and talking of green stars!

Unlockable: Green Stars

Collect 120 Stars before completing the game, and then when you play next there will be 120 more green stars to collect, these green stars are located in the most obscure reaches of the previous galaxies and will offer a whole new challenge to find.

Unlockable: Staff Ghosts

To unlock a ghost which was recorded by the people who made the game during its development you should beat a level with Luigi. Do you have what it takes to beat the staff ghost to the end of the level?

Unlockable: Luigi

Once you obtain 30 stars Luigi will become a playable character on some levels. If you speak to Luigi at the start of a level you can then control him. Any level beaten with Luigi will unlock the staff "time trial" ghost for that level. Once the game is beaten Spaceship Mario's forehead will open, if you go into this opening with Luigi you will then be able to play any level as Luigi.

Unlockable: Grandmaster Galaxy

Once all of the stars and green stars have been collected (120 of each) you will unlock the Grandmaster Galaxy in World S. This will feature a 2D Level in which your skill with the Yoshi tongue will decide your fate - there are a Comet Medal and Two stars to collect which will bring your star count to 242!

Unlockable: Profile Crowns
