After last year not having any form of Nintendo precense at the British Academy of Game Awards (The videogame equivalent of BAFTAS... the BAGAS just doesn't sound right), not even so much as a nomination.
I am pleased to let you know that they're back in business time around with nominations in various categories;
- Super Mario 3D World is nominated for best game
- Unsurprisingly this wasn't the last we were going to hear of the critically acclaimed Super Mario 3D World at the BAFTA Game awards; Super Mario 3D World is also nominated in a trio of other categories including the Family, Multiplayer and Music categories.
But its not a one man show for Nintendo, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is up against the big hitting 3D Mario title in the Family category.
Something quite surprising about this nominations list is that there is no Nintendo entrant in the Mobile & Handheld category despite the continuing success of the Nintendo 3DS and its ever increasing catalogue of big name games like the Zelda series' Link Between Worlds.

The awards ceremony will be taking place on March 12th 2014. If 3D World doesn't pickup a few awards, something is very wrong with the world. And good luck to Animal Crossing too!
Who do you guys think will win in what categories? I suspect The Last of Us and GTA V are going to be cleaning up quite a bit.
