Welcome to the Super Mario Adventures comics section. Here you will find all the old Mario comics which were featured in the Nintendo Power magazines of the early 90’s. There’s nothing like this around these days, so we thought we’d give people who weren’t buying Nintendo Power magazines back then a chance to see what kind of things they were missing.
The comics are beautifully illustrated in an anime style by Charlie Nozawa and Kentaro Takekuma taking credit for the great stories. The copywriting for these was done by Leslie Swan of Nintendo of America.
The first issue was published in January 1992, and the 12th and final Mario Adventure Comic was published the following January. We’ve also included both issues of the special edition Mario vs. Wario Comics in this section. They’re a great read and I hope you enjoy them.
