Rik Mayall the award winning English comedian, writer and actor sadly passed away yesterday at 56 years old. You may remember Rik from shows such as Black Adder, The Young Ones, Bottom (it was Bottom for me, what a show) or maybe even this crazy early 90’s Nintendo commercial for the SNES Starwing and Super … Read more

After a long and gruelling week of remastering and restoring all of our Super Mario Nintendo Power articles section where we have cuttings of every Super Mario series feature since the very first issue of NP way back in July 1988 we’re finally done. What happens when you take a series with a proven track record and add an
instalment to it with a tonne of new features, karts, playable characters and
online features and finish it off in glorious HD….. I’ll tell you what
happens.. you sell over a million units in a weekend.
Is it a large bee? is it the neighbours cutting the grass? No, its the not so
distant echo of Karts readying to race! the wait is almost over.
Mario Kart 8 will be
released to the masses tomorrow and by the reviews its one of the most
critically acclaimed in the series to date.
The Wii U’s Kart in shining armor?
very possibly… it should be very interesting to see how much Wii U sales will
spike as a result of this release. The full statement from Nintendo, and what I
expect will probably be their final pre-release announcement is below:-
Having never been into Tetris, Dr. Mario or anything else of that ilk, I
personally found the six Dr. Mario challenges in
NES Remix 2 for Wii U rather
difficult – making it fortunate that there is only 6, and not 16 like the
Super Mario Bros 3 challenges.
The first few challenges are
relatively straight forward but I found challenge four and six to be a
particular PITA. This is our guide on how to get Rainbow star rank on all
of these challenges.
So we
mentioned that there will be a GameStop sponsored Mario Kart 8 themed car
driven by Matt Kenseth at the Charlotte Speedway NASCAR races this weekend?
Well, there was! Check out the photos of the MK8 presence at the event below.
Alternatively if you don't enjoy Nascar or Mario Kart 8 and would prefer a Mario
slot game you can take a look at the
big
jackpots available at Royal Vegas casino.
