Name the Mario game from the fewest clues: a tiny screenshot close-up first, then more and more until you know it. Round #2 · Monday 2 November 2026.

Type your guess and pick the game from the list. Each wrong guess (or a skip) shows the next clue. Members earn 5 XP for solving it on the first clue, 4 on the second, and so on down to 1, plus the Game detective stamp for their first solve.
How to play Guess the Game
Each round hides one Mario game behind four or five clues, starting with the hardest: a tiny close-up from a screenshot, then a bigger one, a character’s silhouette, a slice of the box art and finally a written clue.
Type your guess and pick the game from the list. A wrong guess, or pressing Show the next clue, reveals another clue. Get it on the first clue for 5 XP, the second for 4, and so on down to 1. Members also collect the Game detective stamp for their first solved round, and can see how well they know each console and era.
A new round goes live at midnight UK time, and past rounds stay in the archive to play for fun.
