On the title screen of the game, point the Wii remote at a character and he/she will speak! this wont help you win the game any quicker, but its cool nontheless!

Unlockable: Blooper and Hammer Brother
Complete the Star Battle with any character in order to unlock the Hammer Brothers, once you’ve done this you can do the Star Battle again using the Hammer Brothers, once the Star Battle is completed using the Hammer Brothers you will unlock Blooper.
Unlockable: Bowser’s Warp Orbit
Complete the Star Battle using any character.
Unlockable: Minigames
