Mario Kart Through the Years Quiz

Ever since Super Mario Kart arrived on the Super NES in 1992, Mario Kart has been a favourite for sofa showdowns, banana-peel betrayals and last-second shell hits. Each new entry has added a twist of its own: fully 3D tracks on the Nintendo 64, two riders per kart on the GameCube, bikes on the Wii, hang gliders on the 3DS and anti-gravity on the Wii U.

This quiz takes a lap through more than thirty years of karting, from the very first Mushroom Cup all the way to Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2. It starts on the grid with some easy questions and saves the trickiest for the final lap. Every answer comes with a short explanation and a link to that game’s page here on SLB. Ready?
