The latest release from
Nintendo gives Captain
Toad and his Pigtailed counterpart their share of the limelight following the
long awaited arrival of Super Smash Bros.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is now
upon us as the Wii U
continues in its stride releasing more and more popular first party titles; it’s
game library now considerably better than it was a year or two ago.
Amidst the Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros madness we almost forgot about
two other important first party Nintendo titles; as if 3DS owners didn’t have enough great titles to choose from,
today sees two more come into the available lineup – Mario Golf: World Tour and
Kirby Triple Deluxe!
These titles are both available on the Nintendo eShop right now.
For a long time we’ve been awaiting
Gameboy Advance titles on the Wii U
Virtual console, it looks like our wishes have been granted. And the first three
titles will be with us as soon as next week including a nice little selection of
games; Advance Wars,
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Metroid Fusion.
But this is only the beginning of an epic April for fans of the older
generation of Mario (and other Nintendo) titles.
Finally, we have some info from Nintendo on Yoshi’s New Island, the upcoming Yoshi starring platformer for the Nintendo 3DS.
(Which is now announced for release March 14th, 2014)

OK so by the sounds of that, this is, in its base story at least going to be very similar to it’s Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island predecessor way back from the SNES days. But this has been a long time in the making, so I truly don’t believe this will simply be a modernised version of its former title.
